Brian Hook

Communications Chair

Multi-faceted Facility Management Leader with balanced strengths in Customer Service and Operations. Respected and valued team builder and team leader who leads by example and promotes accountability. Excels at meeting the complex, multi-site demands of rapidly growing organizations, incorporating LEAN strategies to maximize operational improvements, optimize space utilization, employee productivity and vendor efficiency. Background emphasizes leadership, relationships, budget/expense control, sustainability strategies, FM Technology. Experience leading enterprise-wide space management standards and operational improvements. Organized, PM driven all while focusing on the customer.

Brian Anderson, CFM

Professional Development Chair

Excels at meeting the complex, multi-site/multi-use demands of rapidly growing organizations, incorporating strategies to maximize space utilization, operating efficiencies and employee productivity. Background emphasizes project leadership, negotiations, internal planning and teaming, supplier relationships, budgeting/expense control, LEED and sustainability strategies, production automation, staff management, and computerized system efficiencies. Experience leading enterprise-wide operational improvement projects is the result of business acumen/vision, organizational savvy and a friendly, positive communication/personal style.

Blair Bego

Special Events Chair

Blair is a Nashville native, graduating from Middle Tennessee State University, where she studied Industrial Organizational Psychology and Business Management. Following her time at MTSU, Blair accepted a job in Atlanta, and after working in both the medical and financial industries, she discovered her talent and passion for marketing, planning and design. Blair has been volunteering with Nashville’s IFMA Chapter since joining in 2013, and has been involved with planning golf outings, membership meetings, Toast & Tours and many other special events for the Chapter.

Blair is the Marketing Director for Executive Management Services, Inc., a privately owned and operated facility services corporation. EMS provides a wide array of building services including cleaning and janitorial, equipment and supply distribution, security solutions, and facility maintenance to customers on a local, regional and national level. She manages all marketing efforts for The EMS Group, which is comprised of EMS (facility services), Moorfeed (vibratory feeder bowl systems) and Barrett Supplies & Equipment (cleaning products and machinery). In addition to managing the nationwide marketing efforts of these companies, she also handles all marketing and press for Maple Creek Golf & Country Club, Pete Dye’s 1st 18-hole course in Indianapolis, IN.

Jeff Martin, FMP

Scholarship / Education Co-Chair

I enjoy working on projects with the sense of pride of getting things done and making things better or to improve upon something that benefits my customers/employees. My experience has been to always keep learning new things, working toward continuous improvement, but have the wisdom to know and sometimes realize that “if it’s not broke, don’t fix it.” I love to network with my peers outside of my job and learn and hear what experiences that they had, what they are willing to share and provide in order to learn best practices and new ideas. Lastly, I love being challenged and probably work my best when dealing with or being hit with numerous things at one time. And maybe that is why I like project management so much, this field of work throws all kinds of things at you, some you don’t see coming!

Lisbeth Wyatt, CFM

Scholarship / Education Co-Chair

Lis has over 30 years of experience in facilities and construction project management; both in higher education and government military facilities in the U.S. and the European theater of operations.  She joined IFMA in 2000 and has served in leadership positions with IFMA Nashville since then.  She has served as, Treasurer, Vice-President, President, Communications/Public Relations Co-Chair, Programs/Professional Development Co-Chair, and at present as the Scholarships/Internships Chair.  Lis also had the privilege of serving as a committee member for the 2005 & 2006 IFMA World Workplace Program Advisory Committee, as a dual member of IFMA and the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME).

Cheri Viar

Membership Co-Chair

Cheri is a Middle Tennessee native, born in Nashville.  She is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University where she studied Marketing and has been involved in sales leadership in Nashville for more than ten years.  Cheri currently holds a position on the property management committee of a local non-profit board and First Baptist Nashville.  She also volunteers with the Nashville chapter of IFMA serving in the Membership Co-Chair role.  She has been an active member of IFMA since 2013.

Cheri is an Account Manager with KST Security serving organizations across Middle Tennessee, other regions of the state, and Southern KY.  KST offers consulting, risk assessment, system design, engineering, installation, inspection, and maintenance services for access control, video surveillance, intercom, network security, managed access control, and emergency / mass notification solutions.

JC Blakely, CFM

Sponsorship Chair

JC Blakely started his professional career in 1983 and has held a number of leading management positions with both startups and Fortune 500 companies. JC has developed and managed a variety of Facilities organizations from single source to international sites. Additionally, he has led efforts and produced publications detailing local municipalities’ disaster recovery plans and worked directly with 13 local municipalities to streamlined and globalized the building permit process within Silicon Valley.

In 2007, JC led the effort to construct one of the first Green Friendly commercial buildings in Middle Tennessee utilizing raised access flooring, lighting control, HVAC control, and movable wall systems that not only sustain but benefit the environment. JC continues to be cited in numerous trade periodicals as a valued resource contributor.

In 1985 the International Facilities Management Association (IFMA) accredited JC as a Certified Facilities Manager. JC continues to actively contribute to the success of the Nashville Chapter of IFMA. While serving as Chapter President, IFMA Nashville was awarded IFMA’s 2011 Chapter of the Year. JC holds his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and is currently pursuing his Master’s degree. His current position is the Director of Corporate Facilities for ProAssurance based in Franklin, TN with direct responsibility of the physical work environment

Hannah Walter

Sustainability Chair

Hannah manages and takes part in energy-related services related to the design and operation of buildings. She is responsible for assisting in the design of energy efficient buildings through decision-driving energy modeling and Life Cycle Cost Analysis. She prepares and implements measurement and verification plans to help building owners maintain peak efficiency.

In addition to energy-related experience, Hannah has design expertise in the selection and calculations of mechanical HVAC systems, preparation of plans and specifications, design of control diagrams and sequences, and construction administration activities for health care, laboratory, industrial, commercial, sports, and correctional projects. Hannah also manages and assists on projects going for LEED® certification. She guides the project team and helps document all requirements to meet their LEED certification goals.

Ted Helm

Community Events Chair

Ted Helm stared Modular Designs of Tennessee in 1996. He attended the University of Louisville with a Naval ROTC Scholarship and graduated in 1973 with a BA in Psychology. Ted has been in the contract furniture and interiors business for nearly 40 years. Modular Designs is a contract flooring company that does business nationally and has been located in East Nashville for nearly twenty years. In addition to industry experience, Ted has been actively involved in Nashville public education as a board member of the Nashville Chamber and as Chair of The East Area Business Council. He served on the Chamber’s Report Card Committee for seven years and as its Chair three years. He also has served as Chair of Oasis Center Board and President of Mid-South Division of the American Cancer Society. He is proud to be one of the founding board members of the East End Preparatory Charter school.
