Here is how to add our e-mail address (or any other for that matter) to your whitelist or accepted address list so we don't end up in your spam folder.

For AOL version 9.0:

1. Open your latest Nashville IFMA e-mail.
2. Click the ADD ADDRESS button on the right-hand side to add the info@ifmanashville.org to your "People I Know" list.

or:

1. Click the "SPAM CONTROLS" link (lower right area of your inbox).
2. When the "MAIL & SPAM CONTROLS" box appears, click "CUSTOM SENDER LIST".
3. Choose "ALLOW EMAIL FROM" option.
4. Add info@ifmanashville.org
5. Click "ADD", then "SAVE".

For AOL version 7 and 8:

1. Go to Keyword Mail Controls.
2. Select the screen name you are using to receive email.
3. Click "Customize Mail Controls For This Screen Name."
4. *For AOL version 7.0: In the section for "exclusion and inclusion parameters", include the following domain: *@ifmanashville.org.
   
   *For AOL version 8.0: Select "Allow email from all AOL members, email addresses and domains."
5. Click on "NEXT" until the "SAVE" button shows up at the bottom.
6. Click "SAVE."

1. Click on Address Book (it's over on the left, below your Folders).
2. When your Address Book opens, click the Add button.
3. On the Add Contact screen, find the Internet Information box.
4. Enter: email info@ifmanashville.org into the top e-mail box
5. Click save.

1. Click Contacts along the left side of any Gmail page.
2. Click Add Contact.
3. Enter: info@ifmanashville.org into the primary email address dialog box.
4. Click Save.

Hotmail:

1. Click the OPTIONS tab.
2. Select SAFE LIST. (It's under the heading Mail Handling.)
3. In the space provided, enter: info@ifmanashville.org.
4. Click ADD.
5. When you see the address you entered in the Safe List box, click OK.

MSN Version 9

1. Open the most recent email from IFMA Nashville.
2. Copy the address in the "From" line.
3. Click on Settings: E-mail | Junk e-mail (it's at the bottom left of the screen, just above Calendar).
4. On the E-mail settings screen, click Junk E-Mail Guard.
5. Select Safe List.
6. In the space provided under "Add people to the safe list", enter the address you copied from the "From" line.
7. Click Add.

Older versions of MSN

1. Open the most recent email from IFMA Nashville.
2. Copy the address in the "From" line.
3. Click on E-mail settings (it's at the bottom left of the screen, just above Calendar).
4. On the E-mail settings screen, click Junk Mail.
5. Select Safe List.
6. Click Add an item to this list. IFMA address you copied from the "From" line into the space provided.
7. Click Add.

Outlook

To add our email address to your address book:

1. Right click on the email subject line.
2. Choose "Add Sender to Address Book".

Version 2.0 and higher

1. Click the Address Book button.
2. Make sure the Personal Address Book is highlighted.
3. Click the New Card button. This will launch a New Card window that has 3 tabs: Contact, Address & Other.
4. Under the Contact tab, enter, info@ifmanashville.org. into the Email address box.
5. If you selected HTML newsletters, check the box next to: Allow remote images in HTML mail.
6. Click OK

White list your Personal Address Book:

1. From the menu choose: TOOLS and OPTIONS.
2. Click PRIVACY from the upper navigation bar.
3. Click the JUNK tab.
4. Check the box next to: Set your default junk mail setttings... line.
5. Choose the appropriate radio button to either move the junk to the junk folder, or delete junk automatically (NOTE: Not recommended!).
6. Check the box next to: Enable Junk Filter Logging.
7. DO NOT check the box to mark junk mail read. That may let the spammers know you're there!
8. Click Ok.

1. Open your Yahoo mailbox.
2. Click MAIL OPTIONS.
3. Click FILTERS.
4. Click ADD FILTER.
5. In the top row, labeled FROM HEADER: make sure CONTAINS is selected in the pull-down menu.
6. Click in the text box next to that pull-down menu, then enter the address in the "From" line: info@ifmanashville.org.
7. At the bottom, where it says MOVE THE MESSAGE TO: - select INBOX from the pull-down menu.
8. Click the ADD FILTER button again.
