Joining an IFMA Nashville committee is an investment in your career, the facility management community and our chapter. Committees bring professionals together to share insights, best practices, and new ideas that shape the future of the field and our local community of industry professionals.

As a member, you'll build relationships with industry leaders and peers, gain fresh perspectives, and get access to exclusive resources, education, and a supportive network. Most of all, you'll be part of a community that shares your passion for excellence.

Commitment: One year (January through December), with at least one virtual committee meeting a month, plus more as needed.

Membership committee
Help new members feel at home and keep long-time members engaged.

  • Greet guests and new members by name at monthly luncheons
  • Welcome new professionals with calls, introductions and follow-ups during their first 90 days
  • Create ways to re-engage and celebrate our veteran members
  • Organize name tags pre-meetings and distribute day of

Events committee
Plan the chapter's signature events, which help fund everything else the chapter does.

  • Run or support events like the Golf Tournament, Clay Shoot, Holiday Party, Blood Drive and Toast & Tours
  • Lead or support an event from start to finish, or help with day-of volunteering
  • Great fit if you love planning and making things run smoothly
  • Meetings often become bi-weekly closer to the event

Education committee
Help members grow their skills and earn credentials.

  • Promote the CFM, FMP and SFP, and support candidates through study groups and mentoring
  • Plan educational sessions and source speakers and venues
  • Help close certification gaps, one of the chapter's top priorities this year

Programs committee
Plan the chapter's member meeting luncheons, our most frequent way of bringing members together.

  • Choose topics and recruit speakers members want to hear
  • Coordinate presentation and A/V for each luncheon
  • Gather feedback to make every program better than the last

Sponsorships committee
Build the partnerships that fund chapter programs and keep member costs low.

  • Connect with companies interested in supporting IFMA Nashville as Annual Partners and event sponsors
  • Coordinate sponsor recognition at luncheons and events
  • Strengthen relationships between members and industry partners
